Omega-3 fatty acids confer various cardiovascular benefits, improved insulin sensitivity and immune function and even fertility enhancement. Omega-3 fatty acids may be incorporated into membrane lipids to influence its structural micro-environment or act as a fatty acid reservoir for the body.
